An Introduction to Herbal Intuitive Medicine
You are invited to participate in learning the wisdom of plants through hands on experience with gardening, wildcrafting, medicine making, justice, entrepreneurship, embodiment and magic. Experience the ways of herbal medicine within ourselves by connecting with our ancestors, our intuition and our earthly contributions. Prepare to walk away with herbal knowledge rooted in cultural relativity, honorable harvest, spirit, ritual and remedies.
Candidates for this apprentice-style program must be open to self discovery, passionate about herbs and available to learn about diversity, oppression, appropriation, rematriation and liberation. No previous herbal or gardening experience necessary. SCHEDULE FOR 2020
This 7-month apprenticeship-style program will be held the 3rd weekend of every month from April to October, except for May, which will be held on the final weekend. We will meet on Saturdays from 10-5 pm and Sundays 10-3 pm in South Burlington, Vermont with many site visits for wildcrafting during the program in other locations in the area. This program will address cultural appropriation, white supremacy, toxic use of the gender binary and land occupation within Western Herbalism and beyond. In this school, participants (including teachers) will be held accountable in changing these cultural paradigms within our community and within ourselves. We will be learning tools for change and personal ways of empowerment through tenderness, empathy, self love/care and ritual.
